DEADLINE EXTENSION FOR FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE FILING

This is to advise all individuals who may be required to file OPA Form EC-101, the Statement of Financial Interest (SFI), that the deadline for filing without penalty is May 31, 2020. However, due to the CNMI local government declaration of a State of Emergency from the COVID-19 pandemic and the shutdown of government agencies since March 16, 2020, the filing deadline has been postponed until further notice or when our office reopens.

The filing of this form, including a Notary’s verification, covers calendar year 2019 and is required by the Government Ethics Code (1 CMC § 8501, et seq.).

The following individuals are required to file a Statement of Financial Interest:

  • Each elected Commonwealth official.
  • Each appointed Commonwealth or judicial officer, including department Secretaries, Directors and their deputies, regular or acting members of Boards, Commissions and Task Forces.
  • Each public employee who received additional compensation in calendar year 2018 either for professional services they may have rendered or as an independent contractor for any government agency of the Commonwealth.

You may download the required form from OPA’s web site at www.opacnmi.com.  If you would like to submit your SFI form, please submit it via email at mail@opacnmi.com or mail your original form to:
